Ramayana - The Great Epic about Lord Ramacandra's activities

Compiled by Purnaprajna Dasa, Illustrated by Parama Dasa.

India's immortal tale of adventure, love, and wisdom is captured in this amazing new book featuring the artwork of Parama Dasa, a reputed Italian artist whose innovative techniques are winning him praise among Florence's top art critics.

The Ramayana, the world's oldest epic, is simultaneously an exhilarating account of adventure and romance and a literature revered for millennia by hundreds of millions of people for its depth of moral and spiritual wisdom.

This new, abridged edition of the Ramayana, produced by the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, features 50 new images by Parama Dasa, whose mastery of state-of-the-art computer software is evident in his extraordinary illustrations. The text of this edition of the Valmiki Ramayana was complied by Purnaprajna Dasa and was based on the Gita Press edition.

These beautiful pictures, together with the easy-to-read text, bring an imaginative harmony to this classic tale that will captivate a new generation of readers and delight those reading it again. This high-quality production is a masterpiece.

Great present for adults and children alike to read as bedtime stories. This is a collectors' item.

Rethinking Darwin
by Leif A. Jensen (Lalitanatha dasa)
Softbound, 256 pages, 12.5 x 19cm

Rethinking Darwin: A Vedic Study of Darwinism and Intelligent Design is written for any lay scientist or general reader interested in Darwinism and its alternatives. Over the past few decades, advances in biochemistry have created an Intelligent Design opposition that maintains that the theory of evolution is beset with anomalies. In Rethinking Darwin, Lalitanatha Dasa has collaborated with the Intelligent Design movement's leading proponents to point out the flaws in the Darwinian paradigm and examine the case for intelligent design.

The book explores evidence from the fields of archeology, geology, cosmology, and consciousness studies, and then offers an alternative paradigm from Vedic texts.

Contains several new illustrations by Origins magazine artist Rama-prasada Dasa.

  About Us
New Radhakund –
Korsnäs Gård

Korsnäs Gård is the home of the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to the publication of Vedic literature in Swedish and many other languages. About 30 km south of Stockholm, Korsnäs Gård is set in the beautiful Grödinge landscape. You are welcome to visit and experience the spiritually uplifting atmosphere and the peaceful lifestyle of Krishna devotees. Come visit us!

Sri Sri Gandharvika-Giridhari, the presiding Deities at New Radhakund

Korsnäs Gård is the only Radha-Krishna temple in Scandinavia. The Deities were installed in 1980 and named Sri Sri Gandharvika-Giridhari. Although the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust was not here when the Deities were named, it is amazing that these beautiful Deities accepted the same names as the Deities Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur established almost a hundred years earlier in India to oversee his own printing press.

SRILA PRABHUPADA
SPEAKS OUT:
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

""Religion includes four primary subjects, namely pious activities, economic development, satisfaction of the senses, and finally liberation from material bondage. Irreligious life is a barbarous condition. Indeed, human life begins when religion begins. Eating, sleeping, fearing, and mating are the four principles of animal life. These are common both to animals and to human beings. But religion is the extra function of the human being. Without religion, human life is no better than animal life. Therefore in human societies there is some form of religion which aims at self-realization and which makes reference to man's eternal relationship with God."
Srimad-Bhagavatam, 1.1.2, purport
